Why Give?

Giving is an act of worship. When we give, we're not just supporting a budget — we're declaring that God is our Provider and that His mission matters more than our comfort. Every gift is an expression of trust, gratitude, and partnership in what He's doing here in Armonk and beyond. Your generosity fuels the mission and ministry of Armonk Alliance Church — helping us proclaim Jesus, serve our community, and invest in the next generation. We are deeply grateful for your faithful partnership in what God is doing in and through our church family. Each Sunday, we intentionally pause to thank the Lord for His provision and dedicate our offerings to Him. During this time, you may give cash or checks as our ushers come by your seat. You can also drop off your gift in the offering box next to the Welcome Center before or after the service. One of our favorite ways to give is online through our website. It's easy, safe, and convenient, with the option to set up recurring donations directly from your bank account, debit card, or credit card. Thank you for worshiping the Lord through your generosity.

What is tithing?

Tithing is giving the first fruits of what you have to God. The word "tithe" literally means tenth or 10% and comes from a traditional Jewish law and practice of giving a tenth of one's income. It's a spiritual discipline that reveals our gratitude for His blessings, reminds us that God supplies our needs, and teaches us to always put God first in our lives. God himself extends an extraordinary invitation through the prophet Malachi: "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse... and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it" (Malachi 3:10). Tithing is one of the rare places in Scripture where God essentially says — test me on this. When we give faithfully, we're not just supporting the work of the church. We're stepping into an act of trust, declaring that God is our provider and that His economy operates differently than the world's. Generosity, counterintuitively, is the posture of someone who lacks nothing. Whatever portion you choose to give — 10%, less, or more — we hope that you give prayerfully and cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:6-8).
