Children's Church

Children’s Church is more than just a place for kids to go during the service. It’s a space prayerfully and thoughtfully designed with children in mind—both their developmental stage and their spiritual growth.

During this time, kids gather in the Fellowship Hall to learn about God in ways that are engaging, interactive, and appropriate for their age. Through Bible stories, worship, activities, and small group conversations, we help children begin to understand what it means to follow Jesus in their everyday lives.

A typical Children’s Church morning may include:

• Welcome, announcements, and prayer
• A kids worship song with movement
• A game or group activity
• A Bible story video or teaching
• Small-group discussion and lesson
• Snack time
• Prayer and a closing activity

Kids Club

This serves as a space for middle school students to connect midweek to find community, belonging, and encouragement.

During this time, we have a lot of fun playing games, sharing a devotional story together, eating good food, and worship Jesus through music!

Nursery

Our nursery provides a welcoming, comfortable space for our youngest children and their families during the Sunday service.

Located upstairs in the Upper Room, the nursery is available for infants through preschool-age children. Parents are welcome to stay with their child or drop them off with one of our nursery volunteers during the service.

This space is designed to give young children a calm environment to play, rest, and begin experiencing the love and care of the church community while parents participate in worship.

Frequently Asked Questions

Children’s Church takes place during our Sunday morning service.

Children are dismissed from the sanctuary after the Turn & Greet and head downstairs to the Fellowship Hall for Children’s Church, which runs approximately 10:45–11:45 AM.

When you arrive, check your child in using the iPad at the Welcome Center.

Two stickers will print:

Child label – placed on your child

Parent label – kept by you for pick-up

After the service ends, parents come downstairs to the Fellowship Hall to pick up their child. Our leaders will match the security codes on the stickers before releasing your child.

If you need assistance or special accommodations, please speak with Pastor Carlos or one of our Children’s Ministry leaders.

Yes.

All volunteers serving with children or youth complete a background check, which is renewed annually.

We also ask that volunteers have been attending Armonk Alliance Church for at least six months before serving with children.

Children’s Church is supported by a rotating team of dedicated teachers and volunteers, led by the Director of Children’s Ministry.

Light, packaged snacks are often served at the end of Children’s Church.

During check-in, parents can list allergies or medical notes, which will appear on your child’s name tag so our volunteers are aware.

You’re also welcome to speak directly with a Children’s Ministry leader if there is anything important we should know.

When you check your child in, your phone number is printed on their name tag.

If your child needs you, a leader will call or text you. In some situations, we may also bring your child back upstairs to you.

No problem! Simply check your child in on the Welcome Center iPad and bring them downstairs to the Fellowship Hall. Our team will gladly welcome them and help them join the group.
